Electric Entertainment has expanded its executive leadership team with the promotion of Erica Small to Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs.

A longtime member of the company’s legal division, Small steps into the role following years of overseeing complex production and development matters across the studio’s growing slate. In her new position, she will take on additional responsibilities including overseeing contracts for acquisitions while continuing to guide business and legal affairs operations across Electric’s film, television, live event, and podcast projects.

The announcement was made today by Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment.

Craig Gates, Head of Business & Legal Affairs at Electric Entertainment, comments, “Erica has been a pivotal member of the Legal Department over the years and continues to demonstrate remarkable growth and leadership as her role expands within the team. I look forward to continuing to work with her as she takes on her additional responsibilities.”

As VP, Business & Legal Affairs, Small will continue to serve as lead production counsel for all of Electric’s original films and TV series, handling legal matters throughout the course of the project. Small is responsible for structuring, drafting, reviewing, revising, and negotiating talent and production agreements, including but not limited to rights options, acquisitions, and licensing. She is also responsible for evaluating rights issues and clearances for the above-mentioned projects, as well as advising all in-house teams on a multitude of legal matters.
