OGM PicturesDeep in Love (Amor Profundo) has achieved a major ratings milestone in Panama, emerging as the country’s No. 1 prime-time drama on Telemetro.

Distributed internationally by OGM UNIVERSE and TRT Sales, the Turkish drama premiered on Telemetro on August 3 and has dominated its time slot ever since. According to IBOPE Panama data covering August 3–24, the series won its time slot on all 15 measured broadcasts.

Deep in Love Leads Panama’s Prime Time

The series recorded an 8.5 rating and 59.4% share among Adults 18–99, while reaching a 9.0 rating and 57.9% share among Women 18–99.

Its performance was even stronger in the Panama Metropolitan Area, where Deep in Love achieved a 66.1% share among Adults 18–99 and 62.2% among Women 18–99.

Telemetro has played a key role in the growing popularity of Turkish dramas in Panama. The broadcaster was the first channel in the country to air a Turkish series, contributing to the local phenomenon known as “Turcomanía” and helping Turkish dramas become an established part of the country’s television landscape.

With its strong ratings and consistent performance, Deep in Love continues the international success of Turkish drama productions.

“The audience response was immediate: Amor Profundo reached No. 1 with its premiere, reaffirming Telemetro’s strength and contributing to the leadership the channel has built for more than 15 years in national prime time,” said Tania Porras Cossani, Programming and Acquisitions Manager at MEDCOM.

Commenting on the series’ performance, Mikaela Perez, Sales Director for LATAM, US and Iberia at OGM UNIVERSE, said: “We are incredibly proud to see Deep in Love connect so strongly with audiences in Panama. Reaching the No. 1 position from its premiere is exciting, but maintaining that leadership consistently is what makes this success especially meaningful. Panama marks the first of what we believe will be many successful launches for Deep in Love
across the region. We are very grateful to Telemetro for their trust and for being such a strong partner in bringing the series to Panamanian audiences.”

The success in Panama marks an exciting first step in Deep in Love‘s wider Latin American journey. Building on its strong performance on Telemetro, the series is now set to expand further across the region, with Honduras among the next markets where it will soon premiere.
