Elif Eda’s debut feature The Farm (Süt Çiftliği) has entered the international market with Summerside Media, which has taken on worldwide sales for the Turkish production.
The film premiered at the 2026 Istanbul Film Festival and is now being presented to distributors, with a particular focus on Eastern and Central Europe.
The 83-minute film follows 12-year-old İrem, who moves in with her estranged grandmother after losing her parents and finds herself living on a remote dairy farm. After witnessing newborn calves being separated from their mothers, İrem forms a bond with Halid, a young orphan working at the farm, and together they begin to question the rules of the adult world around them.
Starring Derya Alabora, Mira Saikali, Ediz Metin and Anıl Kır, The Farm explores grief and empathy through a child-led story while also addressing human-animal relationships and systemic injustice.
Produced by Enes Erbay and Teferruat Film, the film marks Elif Eda’s first feature as a writer-director. Summerside Media is currently holding international sales discussions and seeking distribution partners across Eastern and Central Europe.
