Critics Choice Awards 2026 were held last night.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another won three major awards, including the Best Picture. Meanwhile, Frankenstein and Sinners won 4 awards each, standing out in technical and creative categories.

On the TV side, The Pitt, The Studio and Adolescence were among the night’s biggest highlights. Meanwhile, Squid Game won Foreign Language Series, while South Park took home Animated Series.

Host Chelsea Handler paid tribute to director Rob Reiner, who recently passed away, during her speech. Jimmy Kimmel emphasized the importance of free speech while accepting his Best Talk Show award.

The 31st ceremony marked a strong night for Netflix and Warner Bros. Politics, dark storytelling and industry satire emerged as the dominant trends of the 2026 awards season. The ceremony also offered early signals of how the upcoming Oscars and Emmys may unfold.
