Leighton Meester, Tyler Posey and Sherry Cola star in Adulting, a romantic comedy acquired for worldwide sales by Vaneast Pictures ahead of the American Film Market.
Directed by Maureen Bharoocha and written by Anna Rose Moore, Adulting also stars Viven Lyra Blair, known for Bird Box. The film is produced and financed by BuzzFeed Studios, in association with Caliwood Pictures, Fortitude International, North Avenue Pictures and Red Fort Media.
What Is Adulting About?
Adulting follows a cynical woman in her thirties whose life takes an unexpected turn after a head injury brings her 12-year-old self into her imagination. Forced to confront this younger version of herself, she must let her pre-teen counterpart take control in an attempt to put her life back on track.
The film explores the growing pains of adulthood through a fantastical premise, bringing together comedy and a story about finding one’s way in life.
Who Is Behind the Adulting Cast and Production?
Leighton Meester, known for Gossip Girl and I Love LA, leads the cast alongside Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) and Sherry Cola (Shrinking). Viven Lyra Blair, who appeared in Bird Box, also stars.
Richard Alan Reid, Michael Philip, Maia Glikman and Ryan Lewis serve as producers. Vaneast Pictures will handle the film’s worldwide sales, with the title set to be presented to buyers at AFM.
