Netflix is adapting Curtis Sittenfeld’s bestselling 2005 novel, Prep, into a coming-of-age series, with One Day writer Nicole Taylor attached as showrunner.
The YA drama follows Lee Fiora, a scholarship student navigating friendship, romance and social class at Ault, an elite boarding school in New England.
Written and executive produced by Nicole Taylor (One Day), the series explores the challenges of belonging in an environment shaped by wealth and privilege. Sittenfeld, whose own boarding school experiences inspired the novel, will also serve as an executive producer.

The story follows Lee through her high school years as she tries to find her place among classmates from significantly wealthier backgrounds. First published in 2005, the novel became a bestseller and is widely recognised for its portrayal of adolescence, social mobility and class divisions.
