Turkish drama A.B.İ., which reunited Kenan İmirzalıoğlu and Bergüzar Korel on screen after 11 years, is set to come to an end. Produced by OGM Pictures for broadcaster ATV, the series will conclude with the fifth episode of its second season.
According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the decision to end A.B.İ. was made following the ratings results for its September 22 episode. The drama will therefore wrap its second season run after five episodes.
Why is A.B.İ. ending?
The decision to end A.B.İ. was reportedly taken after the drama failed to deliver the ratings performance expected from its second season. The September 22 episode ranked fourth in the Total category with a 3.32 rating, seventh in AB with 2.42 and sixth in ABC1 with 3.07. Following those results, the production team decided to wrap the series with the fifth episode of season two.
The series had entered its second season with significant changes both in front of and behind the camera. Following the departure of Afra Saraçoğlu’s character Çağla, Bergüzar Korel joined the drama as Leyla. The new season opened with an eight-month time jump, while the story shifted its focus toward Doğan’s reunion with Leyla, a major love from his past. Their unresolved history, emotional wounds and renewed confrontation became one of the central dramatic threads of the season. Korel’s casting also reunited her with Kenan İmirzalıoğlu 11 years after the pair previously starred together in Karadayı.
When will A.B.İ. air its final episode?
A.B.İ. is expected to conclude with the fifth episode of its second season. The first season ended with episode 18, while the second season premiered on September 8. Based on the current episode numbering, the finale will therefore be the drama’s 23rd episode overall. A specific air date for the final episode has yet to be separately announced.
Produced by OGM Pictures for atv, A.B.İ. first premiered in January 2026. The series is directed by Yağız Alp Akaydın and written by Ertan Kurtulan.
