Who is in the Get Rid of It cast and crew?
The upcoming horror film brings together Star Wars star Daisy Ridley, Smile actress Sosie Bacon and Simon Rex.
What Is Get Rid of It About?
Get Rid of It follows Harper (Ridley) and her sister Jessie (Bacon), who set out on a cross-country road trip after Harper discovers she is pregnant following a one-night stand with a mysterious drifter named Miller (Rex).
Their journey takes a terrifying turn when the sisters discover that the thing growing inside Harper may not be human. Forced to fight for their survival, the two women find themselves caught in a nightmare that transforms an already unexpected pregnancy into something far more sinister.
The premise places the film at the intersection of road-trip horror and pregnancy horror, using a family relationship and an increasingly disturbing physical threat as the foundations of its story.
Who Is Directing and Producing Get Rid of It?
Ry Russo-Young is directing Get Rid of It from Holdway’s screenplay. Russo-Young previously directed the science-fiction thriller Before I Fall and the romantic drama The Sun Is Also a Star. Her television credits include episodes of Shrinking and And Just Like That.
David Lancaster is producing the film. His previous credits include Damien Chazelle’s Whiplash, Dan Gilroy’s Nightcrawler and Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive.
“Propulsive and playful, this project’s strength is its compelling point of view and heart beneath the horror,” Russo-Young said. “I’m thrilled to bring it to life with such an extraordinary and gifted group of collaborators.”
When Will Get Rid of It Begin Filming?
Production is expected to begin in early 2027, with filming planned for Spokane, Washington. No release date or additional cast members have been announced.
