Global Agency highlighted the international launch of its new music competition format The Greatest Duo at MIPCOM 2026, alongside the continued global success of its drama titles and established entertainment formats.
Global Agency hosted an exclusive world premiere of The Greatest Duo at the Olympia Cinema in Cannes for 100 selected guests, including international format buyers and media representatives. Its drama catalogue also remained in focus, with One Love entering its fifth season, Dynasty of Love continuing its international success, and Vendetta reaching more than 70 countries.
Izzet Pinto, Founder and CEO of Global Agency, spoke about the company’s experience at MIPCOM, its key highlights, and the international potential of its latest entertainment format.
How was MIPCOM 2026 for Global Agency? How would you evaluate this year’s market?
MIPCOM 2026 was a very exciting and important market for us. It is always the key market of the year, where we meet our long-standing partners and explore new business opportunities.
This year was particularly special because our main focus was on our brand-new music competition format The Greatest Duo. We were very excited to introduce this unique project to international buyers. We believe it brings something fresh and different to the entertainment market and has great international potential.
On the drama side, we focused on our successful titles while also introducing some of our upcoming projects. Several new dramas are expected to launch before the end of the year, so MIPCOM was a good opportunity to start presenting them to our clients.
Overall, it was an important market for us and a great opportunity to share our new ideas with the international industry.
What were your highlights as Global Agency at MIPCOM 2026?
Without a doubt, one of our biggest highlights was the international launch of our brand-new music competition format. We wanted to do something truly different this year, so we organized an exclusive world premiere at the Olympia Cinema in Cannes for 100 selected guests, including leading format buyers and media representatives from around the world.
This format is particularly exciting for us because it brings a fresh perspective to the music competition genre. Rather than focusing only on talent or songs, it combines music with real relationships and human emotions. We believe this emotional dimension, together with its appeal to younger audiences, gives it strong international potential.
On the drama side, One Love remained one of our key highlights. It has been our best-selling drama for the past three years and is now in its fifth season, which is a remarkable achievement. We also continued to highlight the international success of Dynasty of Love and Vendetta, which has already been sold to more than 70 countries.
Another important milestone for us was Shopping Monsters returning for its 10th season in Greece. With more than 30 local adaptations worldwide, it is a wonderful example of how a strong format can continue connecting with audiences over many years.
Overall, I would say our biggest highlight was being able to demonstrate the diversity and strength of Global Agency’s catalogue, from powerful Turkish dramas to innovative entertainment formats. This balance is one of our greatest strengths and will continue to drive our international growth.
