Atresmedia’s hit daily drama Sueños de Libertad (Dreams of Freedom) continues its international expansion with new distribution deals in Romania and Poland.
The series has been acquired by Happy Channel, part of Romania’s Antena TV Group, and TVP Play, the streaming platform of Polish public broadcaster TVP.
Following the agreements, Dreams of Freedom is set to premiere on Happy Channel in Romania, while Polish audiences can already watch the series on TVP Play, where new episodes are being added progressively.
The latest sales further reinforce Dreams of Freedom‘s growing international profile. Since its launch, Dreams of Freedom has become one of the strongest-performing titles in Atresmedia Sales’ catalogue and remains the most-watched television series in Spain.
Dreams of Freedom is already available to viewers across Latin America and Brazil via HBO Max, while additional broadcast agreements have brought the title to audiences in Latvia, Lithuania and several Middle Eastern territories.
The new acquisitions were announced following Atresmedia Sales’ participation at NEM Dubrovnik, where the company continued to showcase its expanding slate of Spanish content to international buyers.
Also, Antena TV Group has expanded its commitment to Atresmedia productions with the acquisition of La Cocinera de Castamar (The Cook of Castamar) and El Tiempo entre Costuras (The Time in Between), two of the most internationally acclaimed Spanish drama series.
Atresmedia Sales has also secured new agreements in the region with BTV in Bulgaria, which has added a premium content package to its platform, including standout titles such as ¿A Qué Estás Esperando? (What Are You Waiting For?) y FoQ: La Nueva Generación (FoQ: The New Generation).
These agreements follow Atresmedia Sales’ participation in NEM Dubrovnik, one of the leading audiovisual industry events for the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, held in Croatia from June 8–11
During the market, the Atresmedia Sales team presented some of the latest productions to its catalogue, including 33 Días (33 Days), La Nena (The Girl – The Gypsy Bride, season 3), and Las Hijas de la Criada (The Maid’s Daughters), titles that generated significant interest among international buyers. Particularly noteworthy was the reception of Las Hijas de la Criada (The Maid’s Daughters), one of the company’s major scripted projects, which has already begun to generate interest among broadcasters and platforms across a range of international markets.
Through agreements such as these, Atresmedia continues to strengthen its position as one of Spain’s leading audiovisual production companies, with scripted content serving as a central pillar of its international growth strategy. Through Atresmedia Sales, the company has also reinforced its role as a key partner for broadcasters and platforms worldwide, bringing Spanish content to new markets and continuously expanding the global reach of its productions.
