Sphere Abacus and Little Dot Studios Sign Major Content Licensing and Digital Rights Partnership

Little Dot Studios, the award-winning digital media network, social media agency, and production company, has entered into a significant new partnership with leading international distributor Sphere Abacus.

The multi-year agreement will see Little Dot Studios, part of the All3Media group, acquire 150 hours of premium long-form programming from Sphere Abacus for distribution across its global digital broadcasting network. In addition,

Sphere Abacus has appointed Little Dot Studios as its official partner for digital copyright management across social media and online video platforms worldwide.

As part of the deal, the acquired content will be distributed across Little Dot Studios’ extensive portfolio of genre-focused YouTube channels and FAST services. The package includes premium factual programming spanning key audience categories such as crime, history, science, lifestyle, and nature.

Carefully selected for digital audiences, the high-quality catalogue will strengthen Little Dot Studios’ growing portfolio of owned-and-operated digital channels while extending the global reach and discoverability of Sphere Abacus’ content library.

Featured hero titles integrated into the network include acclaimed documentaries and investigative series such as Harrods: The Rise and Fall of a British InstitutionRoss Kemp: Mafia & BritainAttack on Pearl Harbor: Minute by MinuteTitanic: Secrets of the Shipwreck and The Disappearance of William Tyrrell.

In addition to expanding the distribution and monetisation of this premium content library, the agreement leverages Little Dot Studios’ industry-leading digital rights management infrastructure. As Sphere Abacus’s digital copyright management partner, Little Dot Studios will protect, manage and optimise the value of Sphere Abacus’s IP across YouTube and Facebook operations, securing and scaling new revenue streams while mitigating rights infringement.

This latest agreement follows the recently announced licensing partnership with Warner Bros. International Television Production, bringing an additional 4,000 hours of programming to Little Dot Studios’ digital network. As the UK’s second largest streamer by catalogue size*, Little Dot Studios’ Digital Media Network now licenses over 27,000 hours of curated long-form content. The network is currently home to over 135 actively managed digital broadcast channels, as well as a suite of seven FAST brands streaming across 130+ channels worldwide.
