Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy have officially signed on to return for A Quiet Place Part III.

Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe are also set to reprise their roles from the previous films. New cast members include Jack O’Connell, Jason Clarke, and Katy O’Brian.

The film will be written, produced, and directed by John Krasinski, who is also among the producers. The production companies involved are Sunday Night Productions (in collaboration with Allyson Seeger) and Platinum Dunes, with Sunday Night holding a first-look deal with Paramount.

The franchise has grossed over $900 million worldwide across its three films: A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part II, and the Michael Sarnoski-directed spin-off A Quiet Place: Day One. The original film, which debuted at SXSW 2018, earned approximately $153 million domestically and $341 million globally, and received an Oscar nomination for Sound Editing.

Despite being delayed due to COVID-19, the second film opened over Memorial Day weekend 2021 with a $57 million four-day launch, ultimately grossing $160 million domestically and $297.3 million globally. It also received a BAFTA nomination for Best Sound.

The spin-off Day One, set in post-apocalyptic New York City, starred Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn and earned $139 million domestically and $262 million globally.

The new installment of the franchise is scheduled to be released on July 30, 2027.
