In a strategic repositioning within the French media landscape, Incognita Distribution has taken over the distribution rights for Federation International’s extensive documentary catalog, featuring nearly 900 hours of programming.

This partnership, which includes the slate of Federation’s subsidiary Lucky You (Bonne Pioche Télévision), also establishes a first-look agreement. Under this deal, Incognita Distribution will hold priority over the international sales and pre-sales of future documentary productions from both Bonne Pioche Télévision and Federation Studio France.

The catalog boasts high-profile titles such as Putin’s Secret Weapons, Hiroshima: Race to the Apocalypse, and MH370: Missing, which, combined with Incognita’s existing portfolio, including works like, “Christopher Reeve: The Eternal Superman, significantly bolsters the company’s market position.

This move allows both entities to sharpen their focus: Federation International will concentrate on its core expertise in fiction, including series, films, and kids’ programming, while Incognita, led by COO Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj, pursues a growth strategy centered on documentaries and live performances. Industry leaders, including Bonne Pioche founder Emmanuel Priou, have emphasized that this collaboration is vital for international co-financing and securing broader access to global markets.
