Banijay Rights has completed the first international sale of the Flemish comedy-drama Boho, with Dutch public broadcaster NPO acquiring the six-part Streamz Original for BNNVARA. The agreement marks the series’ first sale outside Belgium.

Boho gained international recognition earlier this year after winning the Best Short-Form Series award at Cannes Series. The series was created by Abbie Boutkabout, who co-wrote the screenplay with Zita Theunynck and Philippe De Schepper.

According to Banijay Rights, the series offers a warm and humorous exploration of female friendship, with universal themes that make it appealing to international audiences. Set in Borgerhout, Antwerp’s culturally diverse district, the story follows three women in their thirties as they navigate the challenges of careers, family expectations, relationships, and personal ambitions.

The lead cast includes Ikram Aoulad, Serine Ayari, and hip-hop artist Miss Angel, while Olympia Allaert serves as director. Produced by Banijay Benelux label jonnydepony, the deal represents an important milestone for Banijay Rights as it continues to strengthen the international reach of its premium scripted catalogue.
