AMC Global Media’s streaming service, Acorn TV, has officially greenlit a fourth season of the popular British detective drama Dalgliesh.

Unlike the first three seasons, which were produced in partnership with the UK broadcaster Channel 5, the upcoming run will proceed without the network’s involvement. Based on the best-selling murder mystery novels by P.D. James and starring Bertie Carvel as detective Adam Dalgliesh, the series is produced by New Pictures, an All3Media company.

The fourth season, set in 1982, will consist of six one-hour episodes featuring three new investigative cases. The series is currently scheduled to premiere on Acorn TV in 2027, with a simultaneous release across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
