ZDF Studios Sets Global Rollout for Putin Documentary ‘The Godfather of St. Petersburg’

The Godfather of St. Petersburg will launch worldwide with ZDF Studios handling the international distribution.

The documentary, produced by Story House Productions for ZDF, examines St. Petersburg in the 1990s; chaos, crime and corruption; and the relationships Putin forged as a deputy mayor.

The two-part true-crime documentary highlights the roots of modern Russia with commentary from international experts, never-before-published documents, eyewitness accounts and former associates speaking out for the first time.
