MIP CANCUN has unveiled the five projects selected for its 2026 Scripted Pitch competition, an initiative aimed at connecting emerging fiction projects with potential financing, production and distribution partners. The programme attracted nearly 100 series and feature film submissions from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the U.S. Hispanic market.
The finalists will present their projects to an international jury of audiovisual industry professionals and market attendees on Thursday, November 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
The five selected projects are:
- Autor Intelectual — Lab Producciones (Argentina)
- Enfermera de Noche — Arttess Productions (USA)
- Oro Negro — Koolshiit (USA)
- Sociedad de Padres — United Content (Mexico)
- Universo M — Panda Scout – LaDiana (Colombia)
International Industry Jury
The competition’s jury brings together five executives and creative professionals with experience in original programming, content development and production. The panel includes Monica Albuquerque, VP of Original Content for Brazil at The Walt Disney Company; Billy Rovzar, CEO of Lemon Studios; Ivan Stoessel, content development expert and creative producer; Gabriela Remirez, VP of Original Content for Mexico at Paramount+; and Iralyn Valera, Director of Future Development at Telemundo Studios.
María Pérez-Bellière, Director of MIP CANCUN, said the selected projects demonstrate the range of stories emerging from the participating markets and underlined the importance of connecting creators with partners who can help bring their ideas to audiences worldwide.

The Scripted Pitch forms part of MIP CANCUN’s broader effort to strengthen its role in the development, financing and monetization of intellectual property across Latin America. By bringing projects at early stages of development into contact with potential strategic partners, the initiative aims to support their progress and international expansion.
Held annually, MIP CANCUN brings together producers, buyers, streaming platforms, broadcasters, investors and other audiovisual industry stakeholders to build partnerships and explore business opportunities across the international market.
