The investigation is far from over as Prime Video’s breakout hit Young Sherlock, which reimagines the origins of the world’s most famous detective, officially prepares for its next chapter.
The series, which topped the charts in 95 countries, will see the return of acclaimed director Guy Ritchie, who is set to helm the season opener while continuing his role as executive producer.

While the first season explored the unexpected friendship between Hero Fiennes Tiffin’s young Sherlock and Dónal Finn’s James Moriarty, long before they became mortal enemies, the upcoming episodes are expected to further delve into the evolution of this iconic and complex bond.
Although the official cast for the new season has yet to be announced following a first installment that featured heavyweights like Colin Firth, Joseph Fiennes, and Natascha McElhone, the producers emphasize that the series is meticulously designed as a multi-season coming-of-age journey.
“Young Sherlock has that rare magic — millions of fans around the world aren’t just watching a detective story, they’re falling in love with the origin of an icon,” said Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios.
