Vince Gilligan, the creator behind iconic shows like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is making a comeback with a brand-new series titled Wycaro 339. The show is set to premiere on Apple TV+ and will star Better Call Saul actress Rhea Seehorn in the lead role.

There’s a bit of mystery surrounding the project. Social media accounts for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul recently shared a cryptic post about Wycaro 339, with the phrase “Happiness is Contagious.” Apple TV+ also dropped a teaser video on YouTube with a countdown leading to July 25, when more details, or possibly a trailer, are expected to be released.

Gilligan also shared some early insights about the show, stating:

“There’s no crime, and no methamphetamine. The world changes very abruptly in the first episode, and then it is quite different. And the consequences that reaps hopefully provide drama for many, many episodes after that. Could not be more different than Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.”

Despite being set once again in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Wycaro 339 is expected to lean more toward the sci-fi tone of The X-Files, another series Gilligan worked on in the past. The show is said to explore reality-bending themes and offer a unique take on human existence.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the series has already been greenlit for two seasons before its premiere. Wycaro 339 is expected to debut on Apple TV+ in 2025.
