TOD STUDIOS’ highly anticipated new series, Alıkara, brought its cast and creative team together for the very first time during the table read.

Starring Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı in the lead roles, the series is being produced by Karga7 Pictures. Hülya Gezer sits in the director’s chair, while the screenplay is penned by Eylem Canpolat and Bengü Üçüncü.

The powerful atmosphere and team harmony stood out during the table read, which was attended by the actors and the production team. The energy emerging from this first meeting signaled that Alıkara is a strong candidate to become one of the prominent productions of the season.

Attracting attention with its impressive story and strong cast, Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı are accompanied by Sezin Akbaşoğulları, Fatih Al, Gökhan Soylu, Can Atak, Bahadır Vatanoğlu, Burak Güneş, Yaprak Medine, Yiğit Batumlu, Esra Ünnü, Elif Gülhan, Jasmine Berkiş, and Serpil Gül.

Preparing to meet the audience soon, Alıkara is already among the most talked-about projects of the season.

A Journey Where Intellect and Intuition Collide: Alıkara

Alıkara tells the story of two very different people whose paths intersect around the same pain. On one side is a young woman who grew up in Istanbul and learned to hold onto life through her intellect: Işık And. On the other side is homicide captain Deniz Baran Dağ, who carries the burden of great losses experienced at a young age on his shoulders.

One’s father suddenly disappears from her life. The other’s beloved niece, Neşe, passes away, leaving behind unanswered questions. And on that day, even though they do not know each other yet, their fates are sealed within the same grief.

A forensic psychologist and a homicide captain… One tracks the human soul, the other tracks the footprints people leave behind. Their paths cross while they are both searching for the same truth. However, what they are pursuing is not just answers. With every step, they get a little closer to the dark corridors of their own pasts.

Alıkara tells the story of a great convergence born where East and West, tradition and the modern world, intuition and intellect, faith and science collide—the story of two people who are good for each other without trying to change one another.

Because some people do not enter our lives by chance. Sometimes fate confronts a person with another wound that resembles their own. Looking at the hope as much as the darkness of the human soul, Alıkara brings mystery, emotion, and love together in the same story. Because sometimes the greatest miracle is not saving someone. It is being able to stay by their side. And a person finds the light of their life in the very darkest place.

Bringing mystery and tension together with psychological depth, Alıkara is coming soon to TOD.
