Sky has officially integrated Disney+ into its core TV subscription, allowing millions of customers to access the streaming service at no additional cost and reinforcing its strategy of consolidating premium content into a single package.

Eligible customers now receive the Disney+ Standard with Ads tier at no additional cost, with the flexibility to upgrade to ad-free versions by paying the price difference. This move is part of a broader “Ultimate TV” proposition that aims to bundle over £20 worth of premium streaming apps, including Netflix, HBO Max, and Hayu, into a single, unified billing and viewing experience.

Beyond simple access, the partnership features deep technical integration through Sky OS, allowing Disney+ content to appear natively within the “Continue Watching” rail and respond to system-wide voice commands. To further bridge the gap between traditional TV and streaming, Sky is launching a dedicated “Disney+ Cinema” linear channel for its Cinema subscribers, showcasing a curated selection of blockbuster films.

By consolidating these global streaming giants, Sky seeks to provide high value to consumers while strengthening its defense against market fragmentation and subscriber churn.
