One of the world’s largest content markets, MIPCOM, will take place in Cannes this year from October 21-24. Episode, Türkiye’s first and only TV culture magazine, continues its international publication this year, following its debut at MIPCOM last year, and will once again be present in Cannes with a special issue prepared for the event.
Türkiye ranks among the top three countries exporting the most TV series worldwide. Turkish producers, channels, and distributors, who have created projects that have garnered significant attention worldwide, will be presenting their new and exciting productions at MIPCOM 2024.
Which Turkish productions will stand out at MIPCOM 2024?
Calinos Entertainment, known for distributing many successful Turkish titles, recently announced that it will be internationally distributing Hidden Garden, starring Murat Yıldırım and Ebru Şahin. Calinos Entertainment, celebrating its 25th anniversary, will host an exclusive party in Cannes to both mark this milestone and introduce Hidden Garden to the world. Lead actors Murat Yıldırım and Ebru Şahin will also be attending the event.
Global Agency, the distributor of hit titles like One Love and Red Roses, is set to unveil an exciting new format this year. Announced several months ago, the project has generated significant buzz, and all its details will be revealed at a special event in Saint Tropez.
OGM Pictures’ international distribution arm, OGM UNIVERSE, will be promoting 6 of Us, a new drama starring Hazal Subaşı, Kaan Miraç Sezen, and Reha Özcan, which will air soon on Star TV.
Inter Medya and TIMS&B Productions will host a special cocktail event to showcase their new series Valley of Hearts and Loveberry. Press members and industry professionals from around the world will have the opportunity to meet the producers and creative teams behind these productions.
On the other hand, ATV Distribution will be highlighting The Nightfall, a series that has performed well in ratings from its very first episode. Starring Burak Deniz and Su Burcu Yazgı Coşkun, the show is now ready for its international debut.
Eccho Rights, which has distributed hit series like Ezel and Golden Boy, will present three new series at MIPCOM 2024. These include The Cost of Lies, starring Çağlar Ertuğrul and Deniz Baysal, Beneath the Surface, which premiered its first two episodes on TOD last week, and A Journey to Belong will be introduced at MIPCOM 2024.
Another significant event this year is a Q&A session by TRT Sales for their series Fatih: Sultan of Conquests. Moderated by TRT’s Head of Advertising and Sales, Mustafa İlbeyli, the conference will feature appearances by actors Serkan Çayoğlu, Selim Bayraktar, and Luka Peros, as well as the producer, Eyüp Gökhan Özekin, and TRT Deputy General Manager, M. Ziyad Varol.
Madd Entertainment will introduce the upcoming series El Turco, starring Can Yaman, along with RU, starring Meryem Uzerli, which premiered on GAİN earlier this year, at a special event. The event will also include a panel discussion on the future of Turkish storytelling, featuring Ay Yapım CEO Kerem Çatay, Medyapım President Fatih Aksoy, as well as Can Yaman and Meryem Uzerli.
