Madd Entertainment Secures Licensing for Five New Titles in Spain

MIPTV concluded on a positive note for Turkish distributors, notably Madd Entertainment, which announced the licensing of five new titles to Spain. Among the eagerly awaited series are Blooming Lady, Wild Heart, My Wonderful Life, The Brave, and Dirty Laundry.

Expanding their portfolio, Madd Entertainment has previously licensed titles to Spain, including A Miracle, Hidden Truth, A Woman Scorned, All About Marriage, Be My Sunshine, Reason, Flames of Fate, Love, Get Even, Love is in the Air, My Little Girl, Nehir, One More Chance, The Family, and the last but not least, Emmy-winning series, Family Secrets.

The incorporation of these five series is poised to establish Madd Entertainment as a prominent presence in Spain. Ateş İnce, the Managing Director, emphasized their meticulous approach to building business in Spain. “We believe in the long-term future of Turkish drama in Spain, and we work closely with our broadcast partners to help grow the audience on a steady, sustainable basis.” he said.

Madd Entertainment’s New Titles in Spain

Blooming Lady

Starring Demet Evgar, Buğra Gülsoy, and Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, Blooming Lady is adapted from the Korean series Dr. Cha by MF Yapım. It follows the narrative of Bahar, who, when faced with a life-threatening illness, resolves to transform her life. Returning to her former profession, she commits to reclaiming her identity as a medical doctor. Throughout this transformative journey, Bahar rebuilds her life with a renewed sense of hope, love, and self-reliance.

Wild Heart

Featuring Halit Özgür Sarı, Simay Barlas, Yurdaer Okur, Dolunay Soysert and Bertan Aslani, the series revolves around a child abducted from a affluent family who becomes entangled in the workings of his kidnappers. Upon his eventual return home after years, the series delves into his arduous journey to rediscover himself and rebuild his life.

My Wonderful Life

Written by Meriç Acemi, Ay Yapım’s series My Wonderful Life, promises a compelling narrative of Şebnem. Despite her endeavors to overcome profound injustices and achieve a fulfilling life, Şebnem finds herself haunted by her criminal past.

The Brave

The Brave narrates the journey of Halil, who revisits his birthplace, a village on the Black Sea. Forced to flee at the age of five following his father’s murder by a local crime lord, Halil returns twenty years later, ready to confront his past.

Dirty Laundry

Dirty Laundry, starring Ayça Bingöl, Ceren Moray, and Cansu Tosun, portrays the intertwined lives of maids and their employers in a wealthy neighborhood of Istanbul, highlighting the stark divide between the upper and lower classes.
