As anticipation builds for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a new JustWatch survey suggests the upcoming Marvel film is already one of the most eagerly awaited releases among U.S. audiences.
The results indicate that moviegoers remain highly invested in Spider-Man despite growing signs of superhero fatigue.
Nearly seven in ten respondents (68%) said they are looking forward to the film, while 63% of those planning to watch it intend to see it in theaters rather than wait for its streaming debut. The findings point to continued confidence in the franchise’s ability to draw audiences to cinemas.
Although interest in superhero films has declined for some viewers, Spider-Man: Brand New Day appears to remain a notable exception. Among the 43% of respondents who described themselves as becoming less enthusiastic about the genre, almost half (45%) said they are still excited to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The survey also explored which crossover fans would most like to see in the future. A pairing between Spider-Man and Deadpool emerged as the top choice with 22% of the vote, narrowly edging out Spider-Man and Daredevil at 21%. Team-ups with Venom (19%), the X-Men (18%), the Fantastic Four (11%), and Wolverine (8%) followed.
The research was conducted by JustWatch in July 2026 among 569 users in the United States. While the respondents represent the platform’s user base rather than the general population, the survey offers an early glimpse at audience expectations ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
