Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

Directed by Roman Polanski and starring Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer, and John Cassavetes, this classic horror film is still creepy as hell. It is about a pregnant woman living in Manhattan who discovers that her neighbors want to use her baby for satanic rituals. Rosemary’s Baby won awards including an Academy Award and a Golden Globe.

The Conjuring (2013)

The first movie of the Conjuring series was directed by James Wan, who has made many horror movies. This story starts with a family of seven moving into a haunted farm house. Quickly realizing that something is not right in the house, the family seeks help from ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine. Starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, The Conjuring was nominated for many awards. A good option to watch on Halloween.

It (2017)

New Line Cinema’s horror thriller IT directed by Andrés Muschietti (Mama), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

A movie by Tim Burton, the director of cult movies like The Dead Bride and Charlie’s Chocolate Factory. With Henry Selick in the director’s chair, this movie is a sweet animation to watch with the family on Halloween. The movie takes place in an interesting town called “Halloween Town”.
