Reflecting on a stronger and more optimistic Content Americas compared to last year, Kanal D International Distribution Strategy & Sales Director Elif Tatoğlu highlights renewed momentum in the Latin American market. With early deals for new family-driven drama Sins and Roses and sustained demand for timeless Turkish hits, Kanal D International continues to deepen its presence across the region.

How was Content Americas 2026 for Kanal D International?

Content Americas went much better compared to 2025, and we can clearly see that the region is gradually recovering. The title we highlighted most at the market was Sins and Roses. As a family-oriented series, it attracted strong interest from the region. We closed our first deal for the series even though we are only at episode 13 and the first season hasn’t finished yet; we made our first sale to Panama. Interest from other broadcasters has also been very encouraging, and we have high expectations for further deals across Latin America in the near future.

Which other titles from your catalogue resonated most strongly with Latin American buyers at the market?

Interest in our timeless hits such as Fatmagül, Time Goes By, and Ruthless City continues to genuinely surprise and delight us. We revisited Fatmagül with three to four broadcasters during the market.

We have also secured a sale for Farewell Letter in the region, even though the series has not yet premiered. It is scheduled to go on air later this year, and we expect demand to grow further once it does. The core of the story revolves around young lovers, parents who oppose their relationship, and forces trying to keep them apart. This is exactly the type of narrative that resonates strongly with Latin American audiences.

We’ve received feedback such as: “Recently, we see more action-driven, violent, and mafia-focused Turkish series, which unfortunately do not perform well in our region.” The series we distribute are primarily family- and female-audience oriented, which is why we are very pleased with the level of interest we are seeing.
