BAFTA Awards Have Been Presented

The BAFTA Awards (British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards), which are among the most important awards of the cinema and television industry, were given for the 77th time this year. The BAFTA Awards night, hosted by the famous actor David Tennant, was marked by the Oppenheimer film with 7 awards.

Oppenheimer, which also won the Best Film Award, was followed by Poor Things, which won 5 awards. The Best Actor Award went to Cillian Murphy for his role in Oppenheimer, while the Best Actress Award went to Emma Stone, the lead actress of Poor Things. At the 77th BAFTA Awards, the winner of the Best Director category was Christopher Nolan, the director of Oppenheimer.

The awards show was hosted by Doctor Who star David Tennant and featured celebrity performers ranging from Hannah Waddingham to pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who sang her Saltburn soundtrack hit, the revived “Murder on the Dancefloor.”
