US-based A+E Global Media has unveiled its programming slate for 2026/27, featuring unscripted projects with talents such as Kevin Bacon and Ted Danson.

The History Channel has commissioned new shows including History’s Strange Fortunes with Kevin Bacon, Extraordinary Origins with Ted Danson, Crime & Justice with Tom Selleck, and History’s Greatest Machines with Dolph Lundgren. The lineup also includes the 9/11 documentary 102 Minutes Inside the Towers and digital-first documentaries Mistakes That Made America and Cracking Up.

A+E Global is also expanding into the microdrama space. Its first microseries, Tides of Temptation, has been greenlit under the Lifetime banner and is described as a digital offshoot of the original movie Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise With You. Lifetime has additionally greenlit three TV movies, Angel in the Rubble, When I Said I Do, and Love, Again, and signed talent production deals with Queen Latifah, Flavor Unit, and Taraji P. Henson.

A&E Network commissioned the four-part documentary Scott Peterson: The New Evidence, as well as The Gotti Files, Johnny Cash: The Man Comes Around, K9 PD with Jim Belushi, WWE LFG, Biography: WWE Legends, and WWE’s Greatest Moments. Vice TV ordered Soccer’s American Dream, Everybody Hates, and Danger Play, while renewing The Verdict, Dark Side of the Cage, Dark Side of the Ring, Hells Angels, and United Gangs of America for 2026/27.

The Home.Made.Nation programming block commissioned Million Dollar Mountain Homes and Zombie House Flipping: Family Business, and renewed previous series including Beer Budget Reno, Rachael Ray’s Meals in Minutes, Oceanfront Property Hunt, Lakefront Luxury, Million Dollar Zombie Flips, Instant Italian, and The Chef’s Garden.

A+E Global has also launched a new creative studio, Storyground, which will produce bespoke content for brands across linear, digital, and social media platforms. Paul Buccieri highlighted that A+E Global is a multi-faceted media company with comprehensive content, talent, and global platform reach, and that Storyground will further enhance audience engagement and creative value.
