As the global appetite for premium true crime continues to intensify, Sphere Abacus has strengthened its catalogue with five new high-profile factual series ahead of this year’s London Screenings.

Skegness Psycho: 28 Miles to Murder (2 x one hour), produced by UK indie FirstLookTV, creators of powerful, story-led factual content, will air on Crime & Investigation.

A Perfect Scam (10 x one hour) and Check-In To Murder (10 x one hour) both produced for Crime & Investigation by Peninsula Television, creators and developers of numerous high-end true crime series and one-off premium documentaries.

Look What You Made Me Do (10 x one hour) and Police Pursuits (12 x one hour) are produced by leading producer of true crime and legal content series Law & Crime Productions for the Law & Crime channel.

Sphere Abacus’ Managing Director, Jonathan Ford, comments, “It has been said that True Crime programming continues to soar in popularity around the world because it tells real stories about real people, making it even more captivating and intriguing than fiction. This view is confirmed by these five series from some of the world’s premiere factual producers, and by the 1600 hours of crime series Sphere Abacus has sold in the last 12 months.  We’re delighted to have such diverse new examples of the genre to share with our clients.” With this latest round of acquisitions, Sphere Abacus further strengthens its position as a leading global distributor of premium factual content.

Skegness Psycho: 28 Miles to Murder is a powerful documentary about how a loving mother-of-two, Bethany Vincent, started a relationship with Daniel Boulton with no idea of his violent past.  Just before midnight, violent criminal Daniel starts a 28-mile march to the home his ex-girlfriend Bethany shared with her two young sons. Through the emotional interviews the series reveals the tragedy of Bethany’s story.

A Perfect Scam unearths the gripping and often tragic stories of victims who have fallen prey to sophisticated scams, exposing the devastating emotional, financial, and sometimes fatal consequences. Each episode delves into the sinister world of romance scams, financial frauds, and digital cons.  Some victims lose their life savings, others lose their freedom, and in the most harrowing cases, the psychological torment of these scams leads to devastating loss of life.

Check-In To Murder explores chilling true crimes that have shaken British communities, revealing the fine line between picturesque and perilous is razor thin. When quaint guesthouses, charming seaside cottages and bustling B&Bs become the site of horribly violent crimes, it becomes hard for people to think anywhere is safe… even the idyllic holiday retreats.

Look What You Made Me Do dives into true stories of jealousy, rage and betrayal that spiral into unthinkable acts of violence. And Police Pursuits follows high-speed chases, wild getaways, and epic takedowns, with real pursuits caught on camera.

These additions underline Sphere Abacus’ continued investment in high-impact true crime programming for international buyers.
