DeAPlaneta Entertainment is expanding its presence in the music merchandise market after becoming the licensing agent for a group of internationally recognized music artists across Iberia, France and Central and Eastern Europe.

The company has signed an agreement with Global Merchandising Services covering artists including Iron Maiden, Evanescence, Motörhead, Ozzy Osbourne and Backstreet Boys. The deal adds some of the biggest names in rock, metal and pop to DeAPlaneta Entertainment’s growing licensing portfolio.

Which Music Artists Are Joining DeAPlaneta Entertainment’s Licensing Portfolio?

The agreement brings together artists from several generations and corners of the music industry. Iron Maiden, one of the most influential heavy metal bands in the world, is among the key names in the new portfolio, alongside Evanescence, Motörhead, Ozzy Osbourne and Backstreet Boys.

Iron Maiden’s visual identity, particularly its iconic mascot Eddie, has long played an important role in the band’s merchandising. With more than 100 million albums sold and around 2,000 concerts performed worldwide, the band has built a catalogue of imagery that extends well beyond its music.

Backstreet Boys bring a different legacy to the portfolio. The group has sold approximately 130 million albums worldwide and remains one of the most commercially successful boy bands in music history.

What Other Artists Are Included in the Deal?

DeAPlaneta Entertainment’s music portfolio also extends to both established names and contemporary acts.

The company’s roster includes rock and metal artists such as Sleep Token and Ghost, as well as Wet Leg and Zayn. Music legends including Brian Wilson, The Jam and The Chemical Brothers are also part of the broader catalogue.

This range gives DeAPlaneta Entertainment access to multiple audiences, from classic rock and heavy metal fans to listeners of contemporary pop, alternative and electronic music.

What Does the Global Merchandising Services Partnership Mean for DeAPlaneta?

The new agreement strengthens a relationship between DeAPlaneta Entertainment and Global Merchandising Services that began in 2025, when DeAPlaneta became the licensing agent for Skibidi Toilet in several European territories.

With the addition of major music properties, the company is now expanding that licensing expertise into artist merchandise, creating opportunities for products and consumer goods based on some of the world’s most recognizable music brands.

The agreement covers Iberia, France and Central and Eastern Europe, giving DeAPlaneta Entertainment a broader role in developing licensing strategies for Global Merchandising Services’ music catalogue across key European markets.

“With this agreement, we’ve literally turned up the volume on our catalogue”, laughs Antonella Ceraso, International Consumer Products Director at DeAPlaneta Kids & Family. “It is also an important step for the company, offering us the opportunity to work with licenses from artists and bands that have become icons for a very diverse audience—one that wants to connect with their idols through music, but also through products that give a tangible dimension to their passion.”

Sara Redolfi, Head of Licensing Agents at DeAPlaneta Entertainment, adds: “We’re excited to continue building on our partnership with Global Merchandising Service, whose catalogue of bands shares a quality we particularly identify with: the value and significance of its artists across different generations. This is an asset that we leverage across various DeAPlaneta Entertainment brands, enabling us to establish common ground with different audiences and develop a wide variety of product lines.”

José Santiago, International Licensing Manager at Global Merchandising Services, commented: “We are excited to welcome DeAPlaneta Entertainment as our licensing agent in Iberia, France and CEE. Their proven expertise and deep understanding of their markets make them the ideal partner to expand the presence of our iconic brands, bands and artists across a wide range of categories. We are pleased to work with DeAPlaneta Entertainment and we look forward to a successful collaboration.”

Throughout September, the DeAPlaneta Entertainment team will be attending the Milano Licensing Day and Brand Licensing Europe trade shows to present the latest developments regarding this agreement and its upcoming releases.
