Kanal D International’s Turkish drama Sins and Roses has made a strong start in Spain, with its local premiere, El Secreto, topping Sunday night viewing on Antena 3. The series launched on September 6 at 10 p.m. and drew a 12.5% audience share, averaging 1.1 million viewers and reaching more than 2.2 million unique viewers.

The premiere also marked the strongest fiction launch among Spain’s private broadcasters in more than a year. El Secreto led its direct competitors by 6.5 and 2.5 percentage points, respectively, underlining the strong reception for the Turkish drama in one of Europe’s major television markets.

How Did Sins and Roses Perform in Spain?

The Spanish launch gives Sins and Roses another significant international milestone. The series has already been sold to around 120 countries, building a broad international audience with its combination of family drama, romance and mystery.

In Spain, viewers can watch El Secreto on Antena 3, while the series is also available through Atresmedia’s streaming platform atresplayer. Its presence across both linear television and streaming gives the drama an additional route to reach Spanish audiences.

The series has also received recognition outside its commercial success, recently taking home a Bronze Tower Award at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards.

What Is Sins and Roses About?

Starring Murat Yıldırım and Cemre Baysel, Sins and Roses centers on a family mystery intertwined with a complicated love story. The drama explores betrayal, trust, family ties and the possibility of starting over, bringing together themes that have helped Turkish dramas find audiences beyond Türkiye.

The Spanish title El Secreto reflects the mystery at the heart of the story, while the relationship between its central characters adds a romantic dimension to the series.

When Does Sins and Roses Season 2 Premiere?

Following the international success of its first season, Sins and Roses is also preparing for its second season in Türkiye. Season 2 premieres on September 12, giving the series another opportunity to build on its growing domestic and international audience.

The strong Antena 3 debut adds to the drama’s expanding international footprint and further highlights the global reach of Turkish scripted series.
