Romanian broadcaster PRO TV has launched Fără Urmă (Without a Trace), its latest scripted adaptation of a Turkish drama from international distributor Eccho Rights.
The series is based on Kaçak, produced by Süreç Film for ATV, and airs weekly on Mondays on PRO TV and its streaming platform VOYO.
How Is Fără Urmă Connected to Turkish Drama Kaçak?
Fără Urmă marks the third Turkish drama format licensed by Eccho Rights to PRO TV. The partnership previously brought Ezel to Romania as Vlad, which ran for four seasons, and İçerde as Clanul, which later expanded with the spin-off Tătuțu’.
The new adaptation is led by Anghel Damian as creative producer, writer and director, following his work on Vlad, Clanul and Tătuțu’.
What Is Fără Urmă About?
The Romanian series relocates the original story to a remote mountain village in Transylvania.
Alex Calangiu stars as Barbu, a man who has built a quiet family life while hiding a dangerous past. When old secrets resurface, he is forced into a confrontation with the powerful Scarlat family as he fights to protect those closest to him.
The cast also includes Adela Popescu, Aylin Cadîr, Mihai Constantin and Daniela Nane.
What Was the Original Kaçak About?
Produced for ATV, Kaçak follows a police officer who kills the son of a mafia boss and disappears into a new identity. His attempt to start over in a small town is disrupted when an act of heroism reveals who he really is, pulling him back into a conflict with his past.
The Turkish thriller ran for two seasons and became a strong ratings performer in Türkiye.
