Treasure Island is a new six-episode original adventure series produced by Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland and MGM+ in the United States, with Fifth Season handling global distribution.

The story follows young Jim Hawkins, who discovers a legendary treasure map and, together with his clever and determined mother Bess, embarks on a dangerous journey across the Atlantic. Along the way, they navigate a world caught between the charming yet fearsome pirate Long John Silver and the cunning British agent Aaron Graham, testing their courage, loyalty, and survival skills.

Treasure Island stars David Oyelowo as Long John Silver, Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins, Jack Huston as Aaron Graham, Tomer Capone as Billy Bones, and Tom Sweet as Jim Hawkins. It is an original production for Paramount+ and MGM+ in association with Playground, created for television by Robert Murphy and directed by Jeremy Lovering, William McGregor, and Paul Walker. Production services in Spain are provided by Ánima Stillking.

This adaptation reimagines Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic 1883 novel, giving the timeless tale of adventure, greed, and coming-of-age a fresh, modern, and visually striking interpretation for a contemporary audience. Stevenson, a Scottish novelist, is famous for his works of adventure fiction, and Treasure Island has long been celebrated as one of the greatest pirate stories in literature.
