Inter Medya and Rise Studios are set to introduce their new Turkish drama Caged Love (Tutsak Sevda) to international buyers at MIPCOM 2026. The series marks the first major international presentation from the two companies following their strategic production partnership announced last December.
Inter Medya will showcase Caged Love as part of its new season catalog and host an exclusive cocktail reception at its MIPCOM stand. The series has already secured sales in several territories, with further international distribution deals currently under negotiation.
Caged Love Brings Turkish Drama to the Global Market
Production on Caged Love is currently underway, while the series has also revealed its official poster ahead of its international market debut.
Directed by Canan Çelik and written by Zeynep Küçükerciyes, the drama stars Eslem Akar and Mert Altınışık in the lead roles, alongside child actor Maya Kara.
The series follows Deniz Yılmazlar, an orphan who works as a street musician and amateur perfumer. After being falsely accused of a crime, Deniz takes on the identity of Sevda Kara to protect a young girl named Maya and escape the police.
A Forbidden Love at the Heart of Caged Love
Deniz enters the mansion of the powerful and traditional Demircihan family, where she becomes involved in a marriage of convenience with Baran Demircihan, a businessman, chemist and perfumer who is the brother of Maya’s late father.
What begins as a deception and forced arrangement gradually develops into a forbidden love. Their relationship is complicated by family secrets, hidden pasts and enemies determined to keep the truth from coming to light.
With its combination of family drama, romance and mystery, Caged Love joins Inter Medya’s new international slate ahead of MIPCOM 2026.
