International distributor Eccho Rights has expanded its powerhouse Turkish drama portfolio by securing the global rights to Zerhun, the latest daily series produced by Sincar Medya Group for Kanal 7.

As the series continues its successful domestic run, industry eyes are turning toward its potential to become the next worldwide phenomenon.

The Power of Daily Dramas: A Multi-Year Partnership

The acquisition of Zerhun marks the newest milestone in the long-standing and highly lucrative collaboration between Eccho Rights and Kanal 7. This partnership has a proven track record of transforming local daily dramas into global sensations. Fans of the genre will recognize this alliance from previous international hits such as Legacy (Emanet), Winds of Love (Rüzgarlı Tepe), and the record-breaking Behind the Veil (Gelin).

Following the Footsteps of ‘Behind the Veil’

The timing of this launch is particularly significant. Earlier this week, Kanal 7 officially renewed Behind the Veil for its fourth season, solidifying its status as the highest-rated daily drama in Turkish broadcasting history.

By adding Zerhun to their lineup, Eccho Rights is clearly doubling down on the “Sincar Medya Group formula”, blending high-stakes family tension with the traditional storytelling elements that have captivated audiences from Latin America to Eastern Europe.

Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, said:

“We are proud to continue our successful cooperation with Kanal 7 by representing Zerhun. Kanal 7 has consistently demonstrated its ability to produce daily dramas that resonate deeply with audiences both in Turkey and internationally. Zerhun is another powerful example of their expertise in delivering emotionally rich, highly engaging storytelling that travels across borders.”

At the centre of Zerhun is a sweeping, emotionally charged story of love torn apart by manipulation and power. Eight years ago, Zerhun and Yaman defied their influential families to marry for love, only for Yaman’s father, Şeyhmuz, to frame Zerhun as a traitor and force them apart. Believing the lies, Yaman abandoned her, unaware that she was carrying his child. Zerhun vanished and raised their daughter, Hayat, in secret.

Years later, a deathbed confession exposes the truth, drawing Zerhun back into the family’s imposing mansion when Yaman demands a DNA test. A sudden accident leaves him with amnesia, Hayat is taken into the dynasty’s care, and Zerhun returns as an employee to remain close to her daughter. As memories resurface and internal rivalries intensify, Zerhun’s battle shifts from reclaiming lost love to protecting her child from a family built on pride, power and control.

Zerhun is already on-air in Türkiye, allowing international buyers to see its immediate impact on local ratings. For global broadcasters looking for consistent, high-volume content with high production values, Eccho Rights’ Zerhun represents a safe yet exciting bet.
