Beta Film productions Empathy and Gomorrah – The Origins have achieved major global success, coming home with a total of five accolades from two premier international television festivals.
Beta Film’s Canadian original drama series Empathy swept the Rockie Awards at the Banff World Media Festival, taking home top honors in four distinct categories: the Grand Jury Prize, the Rogers Prize for Excellence in Canadian Content, Best Non-English Language Drama Series, and the Prix Francophone.
Created by and starring Florence Longpré, the acclaimed series previously earned a 13-minute standing ovation at Series Mania and has secured multiple accolades at the Venice TV Awards and Serielizados Fest.
Meanwhile, Gomorrah – The Origins, the highly anticipated prequel to the world-renowned crime drama franchise, took center stage at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival. The co-production between Sky Studios and Cattleya won Best Creation at the Golden Nymph Awards, adding to its momentum alongside a recent nomination for Best Crime TV Series at Italy’s prestigious Nastri d’Argento.
