Bomanbridge Media and Arcadia Entertainment are joining forces to turn a 500-hour factual catalogue into a broader pipeline for international development and co-production. Announced at MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes on October 12, the multi-year partnership combines catalogue distribution with investment in new projects, aiming to create fresh commercial opportunities for established content and original IP.
Under the agreement, Singapore- and UK-based Bomanbridge Media has acquired exclusive international distribution rights to Arcadia’s factual library, which spans wildlife, history, science and technology. The initial five-year deal covers all media, with a particular focus on digital distribution, streaming platforms, AVOD, FAST channels, educational markets and emerging media. Arcadia will retain control of sales within Canada.
Beyond international sales, the companies will work together on development, financing and co-production, with Bomanbridge Media receiving exclusive first-right opportunities on future Arcadia projects. The strategy positions the existing catalogue as a foundation for new IP and international production partnerships rather than solely as a library of finished programmes.
Bomanbridge Media’s How We Got Launches Partnership With Blue Ant Media
The first project under the collaboration is How We Got, a returnable science and technology series comprising 10 episodes of 60 minutes. Canadian streaming broadcaster Blue Ant Media will serve as the lead broadcaster, with Arcadia producing the series and Bomanbridge Media contributing financial and creative development support.
The series explores the unexpected connections, reinventions and revivals that have shaped the modern world, tracing how past inventions and technological breakthroughs continue to influence everyday life. One example examines the cosmic origins of the rare earth elements used in mobile phones, connecting modern technology with the material and collisions that helped shape the early Earth.
Bomanbridge Media’s CEO Sonia Fleck said: “Investing into our partnership with John Wesley and Arcadia provides a strong opportunity to build a long-term strategy around this evergreen catalogue, generating new digital revenue, in addition to a smart collaboration on new IP development and co-productions.”
She added that supporting How We Got from development through production reflects the company’s approach to working with producers amid increasingly complex funding models. Fleck also welcomed Blue Ant Media’s commitment to the project ahead of completion.
For Arcadia, the partnership provides a route to connect its Canadian production capabilities and established factual catalogue with international markets. President and Creative Director John Wesley Chisholm said: “With Bomanbridge, we have a perfect partner who matches our enthusiasm for what comes next: stories the world loves, told in new ways from new perspectives.”
Chisholm also highlighted the opportunity to bring together Arcadia’s work from the past 25 years with new stories for audiences worldwide.
Bomanbridge Chief Creative Carl Hall, who has worked with Chisholm for more than two decades on action, adventure and history productions, said: “How We Got is our latest and a thank you to Blue Ant for their support.”
The deal reflects a broader East-West approach to content financing, combining Arcadia’s Canadian production base with Bomanbridge’s distribution, financing and co-production network in Singapore and London. Through the partnership, the companies aim to connect established factual programming with new development opportunities and internationally focused productions.
