Amazon MGM Studios is adapting 30 Sunsets para enamorarte (30 Sunsets to Fall in Love), the first book in Mercedes Ron’s Bali series. The project marks the first U.S. adaptation of the author’s work.
The story follows Nikki, a veterinarian and yoga instructor living in Bali, and Alex, a pilot fleeing London, as they embark on a 30-day romance. With only a limited time together, the pair are forced to confront questions of love and commitment, all while harboring secrets of their own.
Mercedes Ron has become a key creative force for Prime Video, with 10 of her novels adapted to date. Her Culpables trilogy became Prime Video’s most-watched international original globally.
Her books have been translated into 26 languages and published in 50 countries. Prime Video continues to position Ron at the center of its investment in young adult audiences and franchise-driven storytelling.
