Calinos Entertainment has added Salted Love (Tuzlu Kahve) to its catalog ahead of MIPCOM 2026, where the Turkish drama will be presented to international buyers.
Produced by Poll Films for Star TV, the series premiered in Türkiye on September 1, ranking No. 1 across Total, AB and ABC1 on its first night.
Blending romance, humor and family drama, Salted Love explores love, marriage and the expectations placed on both. Its tagline, “Love comes in every flavour,” reflects the series’ mix of emotional and comedic elements.
What Is Salted Love About?
The story follows Derin, the granddaughter of one of Istanbul’s wealthy families, who dreams of marriage and starting a family. Despite being in a long-term relationship, the wedding she has been waiting for never happens.
Meanwhile, Mehmet returns to Türkiye after years abroad, with his family hoping he will finally settle down. When Mehmet’s brother Murat prepares to marry Elit, tensions between Derin and Elit’s family bring Derin and Mehmet into the same circle.
As family expectations, old resentments, secrets and misunderstandings collide, their lives begin to take an unexpected turn.
