Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and Türkiye’s Dogus Media Group have entered a strategic partnership to co-finance and co-broadcast Turkish scripted series, with the romantic comedy-drama Salted Love (Tuzlu Kahve) serving as the first project under the agreement.
Produced by Poll Films, Salted Love will premiere on Turkish free-to-air broadcaster Star TV before becoming available exclusively on HBO Max in Türkiye 24 hours after each episode. WBD will also distribute the series internationally on HBO Max and air it in a second window on its linear channels in Italy, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.
What Is the WBD and Doğuş Media Group Partnership?
The new agreement brings together Dogus Media Group’s established television presence in Türkiye and WBD’s production, streaming and international distribution capabilities.
Under the partnership, Dogus Media Group will broadcast the co-financed series on free-to-air television, with Star TV serving as their Turkish broadcast home. WBD, meanwhile, will make the productions available on HBO Max both in Türkiye and internationally.
The deal represents another investment by WBD in Türkiye’s local production industry and aims to create new financing and distribution opportunities for Turkish stories with international appeal.

What Is Salted Love (Tuzlu Kahve) About?
The first series to come out of the partnership, Salted Love, follows a couple whose decision to get married brings together two very different families.
Combining romance, comedy and family drama, the series explores the tensions, expectations and emotional complications that emerge when the couple’s families become intertwined.
The ensemble cast includes Nebahat Çehre, Eda Ece, Buğra Gülsoy and Binnur Kaya.
When and Where Can You Watch Salted Love?
Salted Love will first air on Star TV in Türkiye. Each episode will then become available exclusively on HBO Max in Türkiye 24 hours after its television broadcast.
WBD will also release the series internationally on HBO Max and air it in a second window on its linear channels in Italy, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.
