Eccho Rights has acquired worldwide television and theatrical distribution rights to two of Türkiye’s leading animated brands, King Shakir (Kral Şakir) and Super Team (Süper Bir Takım), produced by Grafi2000 Productions.

The deal marks the distributor’s expansion into the animation sector.

Created by Varol Yaşaroğlu, King Shakir is Turkey’s most successful long-running animated series. Since its debut on Cartoon Network Turkey in 2016, the comedy-adventure franchise has grown to 400 episodes across ten seasons and four feature films. Following the adventures of lion cub Şakir, his family, and their elephant friend Necati, the series has become a major hit with audiences. Its theatrical releases have also performed strongly, with the second film attracting more than two million cinema admissions in Türkiye.

Super Team, also created and produced by Varol Yaşaroğlu at Grafi2000, is a superhero comedy series comprising 52 episodes. The series follows Birce and Birol – two very different children whose paths cross on a farm – as they assemble an unlikely team of heroes, including a grandfather accidentally turned into a bear, a mustachioed robot and a chicken, to take on the villainous forces threatening their world. The franchise is now expanding to the big screen: its first theatrical feature film, Süper Bir Takım: Varol Abi’nin Çizgi Film Makinesi, had its premiere at the end of May 2026.

The agreement with Grafi2000 grants Eccho Rights worldwide television rights to both franchises, as well as theatrical rights to all four King Shakir films and the new Super Team feature.

Varol Yaşaroğlu, creator and producer at Grafi2000, said: “Eccho Rights understands how to build genuine international audiences for Turkish content, and this partnership gives King Shakir and Super Team the global platform they deserve. We have always believed these characters, this humour and this heart can connect with children and families everywhere.”

Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, commented: “Eccho Rights has always been driven by a single principle: finding the best content and connecting it with viewers around the world. King Shakir is a decade-long franchise with proven performance, and Super Team brings a second compelling universe from the same creative mind. This is exactly the kind of high-quality, distinctly Turkish storytelling we know how to champion globally.”

Eccho Rights will begin introducing both titles to international buyers in the coming months, starting at NEM Dubrovnik this week.
