I had the chance to preview We Were Liars, which premieres today (June 18) on Prime Video. Based on E. Lockhart’s bestselling novel of the same name, this eight-episode series is far more than just a typical teen drama. With its strong mystery elements and powerful storytelling, We Were Liars keeps you hooked from start to finish.

I sat down with Joseph Zada (who plays Johnny), Esther McGregor (Mirren), the author E. Lockhart, and the show’s creators and writers, Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie, to talk all things Liars. Warning: If you haven’t seen We Were Liars yet, these interviews may contain spoilers. But if you have… just remember the book’s motto: If anyone asks how it ends, just lie.
