TRT 1’s new series Evlilik Güzeldir (Marriage Is Beautiful) is getting ready to meet audiences with its warm family story and neighborhood atmosphere.

The cast of the Greative Film production came together for the first time at the script reading rehearsal.

With Hasan Kaçan serving as creative producer, the series is produced by Zafer Yiğit and Ahmet Şevki Peker. Şafak Bal and Serap Danış Koçak share directing duties, while the screenplay is written by Baykut Badem, Hasan Tolga Pulat, Hazan Toma, and Seçil Çömlekçi. Evlilik Güzeldir will premiere on TRT 1 in August.

Set in one of Istanbul’s warm and welcoming neighborhoods, the series brings family bonds, solidarity, love, and hope to the screen through a heartfelt story that blends humor and romance. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, the production aims to appeal to viewers of all ages while bringing back the sense of family warmth audiences have long missed.

At the center of the story is Mesut Bahtiyar, a marriage registrar known as the “record-breaking matchmaker,” who lives in an Istanbul neighborhood with his five daughters and elderly mother. Having officiated the weddings of thousands of couples over the years, Mesut sees marriage as far more than a legal signature—it represents a precious home built on love, dedication, and self-sacrifice. His greatest dream is to see each of his five daughters, all with very different personalities, establish happy families of their own.

A Strong Cast, Heartwarming Stories

The Bahtiyar family’s journey through love, family, and life is enriched by colorful characters from different generations, the couples whose paths cross at Mesut’s wedding ceremonies, and the stories of hope, love, and marriage shared by those who seek help at the Saadet Center, run by Saadet. Each episode will feature stories that will sometimes make audiences laugh and sometimes move them emotionally, while placing love, sacrifice, solidarity, and hope at the heart of the narrative.

The strong cast of Evlilik Güzeldir includes Fikret Kuşkan, Hande Soral, Emre Bey, İlayda Alişan, Seçkin Özdemir, Yusuf Çim, Nil Sude Albayrak, Gözde Okur, Ferit Aktuğ, Anıl Çelik, Sera Tokdemir, Hazım Körmükçü, Öznur Ön, Hande Katipoğlu, Derda Yasir Yenal, Cansu Savcı, Feride Bağ, Alper Haliloğlu, Uğur Akay, Selin Soydan, Hayal Garip, Alihan Demirbilek, Sıla Gözüm, Anastasia Geptina, and Yıldız Kültür.

Even during the preparation stage, Evlilik Güzeldir has generated considerable excitement thanks to its director, screenwriters, and impressive cast. The series’ warm, family-oriented story—something audiences have long been missing—has also united everyone involved in the production around a shared feeling. The actors, creative team, and production crew all expressed their happiness at being part of a story that families can watch together, one that offers hope and leaves viewers feeling good.

Evlilik Güzeldir will premiere on TRT 1 this August.
