Electric Entertainment has signed a multi-territory licensing agreement with AMC Global Media Central Europe for its fantasy-adventure series The Librarians: The Next Chapter. Under the deal, the series’ first season will premiere on television and streaming platforms across several Central European territories, including Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia.

The agreement was announced by Nolan Pielak, SVP of International Distribution and Co-Production at Electric Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based production and distribution company founded by Dean Devlin.

“We’ve had a long-standing partnership with AMC Global Media Central Europe, and we’re excited to continue expanding that relationship into new territories and markets around the world,” said Pielak. “We’re proud to see the universal appeal of our programming reach new audiences globally, and are excited about the continued expansion of our international footprint.”

The Librarians: The Next Chapter: A Fantasy Adventure Across Time and Magic

A spin-off of the original series The Librarians, The Librarians: The Next Chapter follows Vikram Chamberlain, played by Callum McGowan, a time-travelling Librarian from the past who becomes stranded in the present and accidentally unleashes magic across the continent.

To contain the chaos, Vikram assembles a team with a range of skills and backgrounds. The group includes Lysa Pascal (Olivia Morris), a brilliant scientist who inherits an ancient castle in Serbia but does not believe in magic; Connor Green (Bluey Robinson), a historian ostracised after publicly declaring his belief in magic; and Charlie Cornwall (Jessica Green), a former Guardian candidate seeking redemption after being rejected by the Librarians.

The series combines fantasy, adventure and time travel, expanding the universe established by the original The Librarians.

Season Two Premiered in the US in August

The first season consists of 12 episodes, each approximately one hour long. Season two premiered on TNT in the United States on 2 August 2026.

The new licensing agreement extends The Librarians: The Next Chapter’s international reach and continues Electric Entertainment’s partnership with AMC Global Media Central Europe, bringing the fantasy-adventure title to additional audiences across the region.
