ElectricNOW, the free streaming app and channel operated by Electric Entertainment, has acquired more than 40 films from American Cinema Inspires under a new licensing agreement. The deal covers approximately 75 hours of programming and includes domestic advertising-based video-on-demand (AVOD) and free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) rights.
Announced in Cannes on October 12, 2026, the agreement was revealed jointly by Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment and ElectricNOW, and Chevonne O’Shaughnessy of American Cinema Inspires.
Under the deal, ElectricNOW will be able to distribute the films through its streaming platform and YouTube channel, expanding its catalogue of free programming for US audiences. The agreement follows a recent revamp of ElectricNOW, which introduced additional content and features.
Family-Friendly Films Expand ElectricNOW’s Catalogue
The acquired titles span several genres, with an emphasis on inspirational and family-friendly entertainment. Among the films included in the agreement are the animated feature The Ten Commandments, featuring the voices of Ben Kingsley, Christian Slater, Elliott Gould and Alfred Molina; Like Dandelion Dust, starring Mira Sorvino; and Egg, featuring Alysia Reiner, Christina Hendricks and Anna Camp.
The collection also includes Miss Arizona, starring Dana Wheeler-Nicholson, Missi Pyle and Steve Guttenberg; Of Mind and Music, featuring Bill Cobbs, Ruth Negga and Andre Royo; and Daisy Winters, starring Iwan Rheon and Brooke Shields.
“We are committed to offering viewers a diverse range of programming across genres, including content that supports family co-viewing,” said Steve Saltman, Head of Domestic Sales at Electric Entertainment. “The titles acquired from The American Cinema Inspires library expand our offerings with high-quality, family-friendly programs. We look forward to a continuing partnership with American Cinema Inspires.”
Expanding Access to Inspirational Entertainment
American Cinema Inspires focuses on inspirational entertainment and reports more than 1.2 million subscribers and over one billion views across its platforms. The partnership will give its films an additional distribution outlet through ElectricNOW’s free streaming service.
“We’re thrilled to be working with ElectricNOW. Their platform has an incredible reach, and we look forward to our content reaching more audiences who may not have access to our programs in the US, for free,” said Chevonne O’Shaughnessy of American Cinema Inspires.
The agreement was negotiated by Saltman for Electric Entertainment and O’Shaughnessy for American Cinema Inspires. The expanded catalogue adds to ElectricNOW’s offering as free, ad-supported streaming platforms continue to provide new routes for film libraries to reach audiences.
