A sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) is officially in the works. Titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the new film centers on Brad Pitt’s character, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the original.
The production process for the project has begun in Los Angeles, with David Fincher directing and Netflix serving as the producer. The screenplay was written by Quentin Tarantino himself, marking an important collaboration between Fincher and Tarantino on what is expected to be one of Netflix’s flagship projects.
Initially, The Adventures of Cliff Booth was rumored to be Tarantino’s 10th and final film. However, the director shelved the project in favor of pursuing other ideas. It was later revived with Brad Pitt’s involvement, and Netflix reportedly paid Tarantino $20 million to write the script.

Set in 197, eight years after the events of the original film, the sequel follows Cliff Booth as he transitions from stuntman to Hollywood “fixer.” Now, Booth must handle the dark and messy problems of the industry’s biggest stars.
Along with Brad Pitt, the ensemble cast includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, JB Tadena, and Corey Fogelmanis. It remains unclear whether Leonardo DiCaprio will reprise his role as Rick Dalton.
No official release date has been announced for The Adventures of Cliff Booth, which is set to explore the dark underbelly of the film industry.
