Direct from the bustling floors of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, independent animation producer Polydont Films and Netherlands-based boutique sales outfit SND Films have officially inked an exclusive international representation agreement. Under this newly forged partnership, SND Films, a prominent international sales company renowned for championing award-winning shorts and documentaries, will serve as the exclusive global representative and sales agent for the critically acclaimed animated short, The Three Sisters.

Fresh off its prestigious Academy Award® nomination, the film is poised for a major international push as SND Films leverages its robust network to bring this captivating piece of original animation to broadcasters, platforms, and festivals worldwide. This strategic alliance highlights the enduring global market for high-caliber short-form storytelling, locking in a powerful distribution pipeline for Polydont Films’ celebrated project.

Directed by Konstantin Bronzit, The Three Sisters marks the filmmaker’s third Academy Award® nomination in the Best Animated Short Film category, following Lavatory – Lovestory (2009) and We Can’t Live Without Cosmos (2016). Set on a remote island, the 14-minute, dialogue-free 2D animated short follows three sisters living in neighboring houses whose quiet, predictable lives are disrupted by the arrival of a charming sailor. What begins as a simple romantic rivalry gradually reveals a deeper and more universal story about loneliness, ambition, vanity, and the complexities of human nature.

Since its Oscar® nomination, The Three Sisters has been screened in more than 500 theaters across the United States and Canada and has also been released in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Japan, and Spain, reaching audiences around the world.

“An Academy Award nomination is one of the highest forms of recognition a film can receive and a powerful mark of quality that has attracted tremendous attention to The Three Sisters. We are happy to collaborate with SND Films to bring the film to even wider audiences worldwide,” said Elena Lyalina, CEO of Polydont Films.

“No matter what nationality you are and what language you speak, The Three Sisters resonates with everyone, young and old. Craftsmanship, humor and good story telling is key here. Therefore, I’m really happy I am able to add this gem to my current slate of shorts and bring to my clients around the world. said Sydney Neter, Founder of SND Films.
