The Yellowstone universe is expanding with a highly anticipated new chapter that puts the franchise’s most formidable couple at the center of the storm.
Paramount+ has released the first dramatic trailer for Dutton Ranch, a Yellowstone spin-off starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, which is set to premiere later this month. Shifting the scenery from the mountains of Montana to the plains of South Texas, the series follows Beth and Rip as they attempt to leave the ghosts of the past behind and build a new life with their son, Carter. However, their dreams of expanding their newly acquired ranch are quickly derailed by a brutal power struggle against territorial neighbors.

This new Yellowstone installment ups the ante with a heavy-hitting supporting cast, introducing Annette Bening as the ruthless “Grizzly in Gucci,” Beulah Jackson, alongside the legendary Ed Harris as Everett McKinney. The trailer makes it clear that the peace Beth and Rip long for will have to wait; the presence of a new “train station”, the couple’s signature method for disposing of enemies, signals that the series will retain the gritty, uncompromising tone of the original flagship show.
Dutton Ranch will debut its first two episodes on May 15, with the season finale scheduled for July 3. As the second major spin-off to launch this year following the success of Marshals, the series brings the “Duttonverse” to a total of seven interconnected shows, with 1944 and 6666 still on the horizon.
