The hit Prime Video series We Were Liars is expanding its universe for the second season by adding six new series regulars to the cast.
Drawing inspiration from E. Lockhart’s bestselling prequel novel Family of Liars, the upcoming season will delve into the Sinclair family’s dark history, specifically focusing on the summer of 1999.
New cast members include Josh Dallas, Costa D’Angelo, Parker Lapaine, Peyton List, Elysia Roorbach, and Madison Wolfe. Notably, Josh Dallas will take on the role of a young Harris Sinclair, a character portrayed by David Morse in the debut season.

The narrative will take viewers back to the Beechwood island of the late 90s, shedding light on the teenage years of the Sinclair sisters, Carrie, Penny, and Bess, during a summer defined by first loves, fierce rivalries, and even murder. While these flashbacks explore the past, the present-day storyline will continue as Cadence, played by Emily Alyn Lind, returns to Beechwood to confront the family’s deep-seated secrets.

Showrunners Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie remain at the helm of the production, which is a collaborative effort between Universal Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
