The cast of Star Wars: Starfighter, the latest film set in the Star Wars universe, is taking shape. Directed by Shawn Levy, best known for Deadpool & Wolverine and Free Guy, the film will star Ryan Gosling in the lead role.
Joining Gosling is acclaimed British actor Matt Smith, known for his roles in Doctor Who and House of the Dragon. Smith will play the main villain in the upcoming film. He has recently gained renewed attention for his performance as Prince Daemon Targaryen in House of the Dragon, and he is also part of the cast for Darren Aronofsky’s anticipated new film Caught Stealing.

Set about 15 years after Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019), Star Wars: Starfighter will introduce new characters and an original storyline, offering a standalone narrative within the Star Wars universe.
Also in talks to join the cast is rising horror star Mia Goth, who is rumored to be playing the film’s female villain. Initially, Oscar-winner Mikey Madison (Anora) was considered for the role, but Goth has reportedly emerged as the frontrunner.
